Alicia Rodriguez went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 24, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a dear daughter, mother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed. Ms. Rodriguez was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Rodriguez, her paternal grandparents, Alfonso and Maria De Jesus Rodriguez, and by her maternal grandparents, Odon and Maria De La Salud Torres.
She is survived by her beloved father, Martin Rodriguez, her beloved nephew/son, Jorge Luis Rodriguez, his wife, Brenda Rodriguez and son, Jorge Luis Rodriguez, Jr., her beloved sisters, Maria Elena (Ramiro) Hernandez, and nephew, Ramiro Hernandez, Jr., her sister, Yolanda Escobedo, and nieces, Nadia (Ramon) Lopez and Monica Escobedo, and her sister, Esperanza Rodriguez.
Her beloved brothers, Alberto Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Raymundo Rodriguez, Martin Rodriguez Jr. and Alfonso (daughter Mariela) Rodriguez. She was also survived by nieces, Claudia Rodriguez and family, Veronica Barbosa Rodriguez and family, Graciela Rodriguez and family and her nephews, Reymundo Rodriguez and family, Eduardo Rodriguez and family, Sergio (Jessica) Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez and family, Ruben (Selina) Perez and family and Oscar Rodriguez and family, Also surviving her are numerous aunts and uncles,nieces, nephews,cousins in Monterrey Mexico and by her sister-in-law, Ines Rodriguez, Reyna Rodriguez and Rosa Rodriguez. By her second family at CED, the CED family and her friends.
The family would like to give thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, and to a very special lady and case manager, Marilyn.
Also a deep gratitude to all the Doctors and nurses at Laredo Specialty Hospital ICU, who took care of her, especially Chirise Rivera R.N., and Rene, Herna DaLuz and Estelita Maximo, all of who were very compassionate and caring to her.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to her second family, all her friends and coworkers at CED for all their love and support, and to Sandra Salinas Escobedo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:05 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
