Obituary

ADAN ORTIZ

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother, Adan Ortiz, age 65 on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a very kind and care free soul that was able to get along with everyone he met, and always relate to all his family members. He was a product of L.I.S.D. schools and obtained his G.E.D. from Laredo Jr. College, Adult Learning Center. He worked in the grocery business having lived in Denver, Colorado and worked at City Market , and upon return to Laredo, at Lowe's in the produce market for many years.

He is preceded in death by his father, Pablo P. Ortiz, U.S. Border Patrol, retired, mother, Trinidad M. "Doña Trine" Ortiz, and brother, Raymond E. Ortiz, U.S. Army, Vietnam.

He is survived by his brothers, Pablo M. Ortiz, Ricardo (Hope) Ortiz from Houston, Texas, Guillermo Ortiz, Gerardo "Jerry" Ortiz from Denver, Colorado, Fidel (Lucy) Ortiz from Austin Texas and Jose Angel (Vicky) Ortiz.

Sisters, Sandra (Bill) Odle of Deer Park, Texas and Maria Leticia (Louie) Almaraz of Alamo, Texas.

Also surviving him are many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Staf at Doctors Hospital, Dr. Canales, Dr. Romero and Dr. Zmitry, The offices of Eduardo Miranda and Staff, St. Jude Hospice and Mrs. Pati Guajardo, Mrs Irma Treviño, Sands Home Health and Brightstar Skilled Nursing Services. THANK YOU!!! For taking care of Adan in his dire time of need.

Pallbearers were: Ricardo Ortiz, Guillermo Ortiz, Jose A. Ortiz, Michael Paul Almaraz, Louie Almaraz, Jr., and Danny Ortiz.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Pablo M. Ortiz, Louie Almaraz Sr., Bill Odle and Weston Odle.
