ADELAIDA C. ARREDONDO Adelaida C. Arredondo, 81, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at a local retirement home. Mrs. Arredondo was born Falcon, Texas and had been a life long resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Arredondo. Sons, Armando Arredondo and Alonso Arredondo. Also by brothers, sisters and other relatives. She is survived by her children, Alicia A. (Jose M.) Olivarez, Amparo (Jose Luis) Ortiz, Adelaida (Joaquin) Medina, Adela Arredondo and Arturo (Martha) Arredondo. 30 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Sisters, Melquiades Garcia and Celia Cadena. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
