AGUSTINA "TINA" V. BUSTOS
Agustina V. Bustos or "Tina" as she was known by family and friends went to be with Our Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the age of 87.
Agustina "Tina" Bustos was born in Aranzazu, Zacatecas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. Tina was the CCD Coordinator at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church for over twenty years. A job she passionately enjoyed doing to serve the Lord. In addition, Tina belonged to the church choir, playing the guitar, encouraging the youth group to follow the catholic teachings. She will be dearly remembered by all those lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Bustos; her parents; Transito Vargas and Felicitas P. Guerrero; Son, Jose "Nune" Bustos; Brother, Alberto (Pauline+) Vargas Sr.; Parents-in-law; Simon (Josefina+) Bustos; brothers-in-law, Pedro (Isabel+) Bustos, Carlos (Concha+) Bustos, Simon Bustos Jr.; sister-in-law, Maria B. (Viviano+) Gonzalez.
She is survived by her children, Alicia B. (Mario A.) Gutierrez and Alberto Bustos; her grandchildren, Rene A. (Rebecca) Gutierrez and Jose A. Gutierrez; her sisters, Alicia G. (Ramon) Castillo and Manuela "Mela" G. Chavarria; her sisters-in-law, Estela B. (Sixto+) Lopez and Adela (Javier) Peña as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Friday, July 1, 2022 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Rene A. Gutierrez, Joe A. Gutierrez, Alfonso Mejorada, Mario A. Martinez, Ruben Mendez, Sabino Pardo, Gonzalo Gomez and Jerry Sifuentes.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE: Joe Chavarria Jr., Javier Chavarria, Javier Peña, Ricardo Sierra, Jaime Gonzalez, Fernando Flores and Jose Luis Gonzalez.
