Obituary

ALBERTO LOZANO

Alberto Lozano, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Lozano was born in Cotulla, Texas and spend most of his life growing up in Laredo, Texas. He was a Veteran of the United States Army in which he served from August 1963 up until his honorable discharge in June 1965 after returning from overseas.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years of marriage, Guadalupe R. Lozano, his parents Enrique Lozano and Margarita M. Lozano and by his siblings, Marcos M. Lozano, Jesus M. Lozano and Mary L. Lozano.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jo Dale (Robert) Zimmerman and Clauria "Deedee" (Victor "Fred") Flores-Lozano.
His grandchildren,  Anissa (Dakota) Zimmerman, Peter (Samantha) Zimmerman, Diandra (Noe) Lozano, Javier (Megan) Garza Jr., Marcos Lozano and Amanda (Daniel) Elizondo.
Siblings, Maria Luisa L. Garcia, Olga L. Fasei, Leticia L. Guerra, Enrique M. Lozano Jr. and Oliverio L. Lozano.

Also surviving him are his 9 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 1, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed in the Veteran's Section of the Laredo City Cemetery with Presentation of the United States Flag and Full military Honors.

PALLBEARERS: Fred Flores, Robert Zimmerman, Christopher Lozano, RJ Soliz, Willie Lozano, Javier Garza JR., Noe Gonzalez and Marcos Lozano.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
