ALBERTO P. RODRIGUEZ SR.

Alberto P. Rodriguez Sr., 86, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Mr. Rodriguez was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He was known affectionately as "Papi" by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. During his lifetime, he worked in the Insurance Business, for over 40 years, but always dedicated his time to his family, who will forever miss his love and affection and they will always remember that his most cherished honor was being called "Papi" by his 17 grandchildren and his 25 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his 16 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 59 years of marriage, Maria G. Rodriguez.

Children, Joe Rodriguez, Esther R. Gallegos, Alberto Rodriguez Jr., Martina R. (Keith) Vaughan and Jesus (Yvonne) Rodriguez.

And his previously mentioned, 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

A private religious service was held at the Christ Miracle Center, on Friday, January 8, 2021, officiated by Mr. Rodriguez's daughter, Pastor Esther Gallegos.

Committal services and interment then followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Jesus Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Rodolfo Hernandez Jr., Luis Morris, Albert Rodriguez III, Keith Vaughn, Pete Gallegos III and Ozzy Reyes.
