ALBERTO S. "Tito" SUAREZ
Alberto S. "Tito" Suarez, 77, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mr. Suarez was born in Asherton, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and never gave up.
Mr. Suarez was the owner of Suarez Grocery stores on Gustavus St. and also Santo Niño St., for over 40 years.
Mr. Suarez was preceded in death by his parents, Herculano Suarez and Isabel Suarez.
His loving wife, Lorenza Ofelia Suarez.
Brother, Gilberto Suarez.
Sisters, Ramona Medellin and San Juana Casarez.
He is survived by his children, Alberto (Thelma) Suarez Jr., Odilia (Manuel) Bustamante, Roberto (Rosaura) Suarez, Ramon (Janet) Suarez, Mario Suarez, Herculano (Sonia) Suarez, Maria Lourdes Suarez and Yuliza Suarez.
24 grandchildren.
17 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Marcelino (Concepcion) Suarez.
Sister, Isabel (Apolonio) Melendez.
Former daughter-in-law, Vilma Suarez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa, Dr. Benson Huang, Nurse Practitioner, Tammy Treviño and Dr. Eduardo Miranda, and Altus Hospice for their special attention and loving care.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
