Alejandro “Vivis” Cruz Jr., 20 years old, died on May 25, 2026. Graduate of the Cigarroa High School class of 2024. Vivis loved playing basketball with his cousins. He loved hanging out with his brother and his friends. He was such an outgoing and funny person. With a beautiful smile. Vivis left a legacy of laughter, strength and unconditional love.He was a son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew and loving friend. His whole family and those lives he touched will miss him very much.
Alejandro was preceded in death by his grandfather, Félix Cruz.
He is survived by his mother Rosa I Guerra, his brother and sisters (Jesus, Kayla, Carla and Angel) and his father Alejandro (Claudia) Cruz and his brothers (Izaiah and Damian).
His grandmother Margarita Cruz Torres.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal servcies and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jesús A. Guerra, Luis M Telles Jr, Héctor Bernal III, Eric Telles, José Luis Bernal, Brayan Ontiveros, Larry Elizalde, and Erick Elizalde.

Alejandro “Vivis” Cruz Jr., de 20 años de edad, falleció el 25 de mayo de 2026. Graduado de la generación 2024 de la Escuela Secundaria Cigarroa. A Vivis le encantaba jugar baloncesto con sus primos. Le gustaba pasar tiempo con su hermano y sus amigos. Era una persona muy sociable y divertida. Con una hermosa sonrisa. Vivis dejó un legado de risas, fortaleza y amor incondicional.Fue un hijo, nieto, hermano, primo, sobrino y amigo cariñoso. Toda su familia y las personas cuyas vidas tocó lo extrañarán muchísimo.
Alejandro fue precedido en la muerte por su abuelo, Félix Cruz.
Le sobreviven su madre Rosa I Guerra, su hermano y hermanas (Jesus, Kayla, Carla y Angel) y su padre Alejandro (Claudia) Cruz y sus hermanos (Izaiah y Damian).Su abuela Margarita Cruz Torres.
También le sobreviven otros familiares y muchos amigos.
La velación se llevará a cabo el viernes 29 de mayo de 2026 de 4 p.m. a 9 p.m. y se celebrará una vigilia a las 7 p.m. en Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. en San Bernardo Ave. Los servicios funerarios comenzarán saliendo de la capilla de la funeraria a las 10:30 a.m. el sábado 30 de mayo de 2026. La Santa Misa se celebrará a las 11 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Mother Cabrini. Los servicios de sepelio y el entierro continuarán en el Cementerio Católico Calvary.
