Alfonso Mendiola's Obituary
ALFONSO MENDIOLA
Alfonso Mendiola, 86, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
Mr. Mendiola was a dedicated and hardworking employee for 27 years of service with the Texas Highway Transportation Department.
Mr. Mendiola is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Cruzita Mendiola.
Also preceding him are his brothers, Mario, Jose, Ruben and sister, Yolanda.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Perez Mendiola.
Sons, Alfonso (Patricia) Mendiola Jr., Eduardo, Orlando, Caesar and David Mendiola.
Daughter, Viola (Sergio) Rodriguez.
16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Fernando (Esther) Mendiola.
Also surviving him are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The Mendiola family would like to thank the staff at Retama West for providing excellent care and dedication to Mr. Mendiola.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St., Laredo, Texas.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
