Obituary

ALFONSO "PONCHO" VASQUEZ JR.
Alfonso "Poncho" Vasquez Jr., 58, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mr. Vasquez Jr. was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Vasquez.
Paternal grandmother, Rebecca Garza.
Maternal grandparents, Domingo and Herlinda Adame.
He is survived by his father, Alfonso Vasquez Sr.
Sister, Sandra J. (Joe) De Hoyos, III.
Brother, Gerardo Vasquez.
Nephews and nieces, Erica V. Vasquez (Armando), Jerry (Pearl) Vasquez, Alfonso (Norma) Vasquez, III., Alicia Vasquez (Alejandro) Hector Antonio Vasquez, William P. (Mary Lou) De Hoyos and Katherine A. De Hoyos.
Also surviving him are uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to his caregivers, Patricia Moncivais and Maria Huerta, Dr. Benson Huang and Tammy Treviño and staff and the nurses and staff in the ICU unit at LMC.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
