ALFREDO OLIVA
Alfredo Oliva, 86, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019, in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Oliva was born in Catarina, Texas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Margarito Moreno.
Mother, Diamantina Barrera.
Son, Alfredo Oliva Jr.
Brother, Arturo Oliva and Arnulfo Oliva.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 62 years of marriage, Maria S. Oliva.
Children, Ana Maria Oliva, Cecilia Maria (Michael) Blum, H. Diana Oliva, Alfredo Oliva III and Arturo (Victoria) Oliva.
3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services with full military honors and the United States Flag presentation will be held at the Laredo City Cemetery.
