Alicia Butanda's Obituary
ALICIA VELA BUTANDA
Alicia Vela Butanda, 87, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Butanda was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Jacoba R. Vela.
Brothers, Jose Felix Jr. and Santos Vela.
Sister, Elia Jaramillo and Alisia Vela.
She is survived by her husband, of 67 years of marriage, Leon Butanda.
Children, Sergio Butanda, Feliza (Eloy+) Juarez, Dora B. Ybarra, Maria De La Luz De La Rosa, Rosa Almanza, Enrique Butanda, Jackie Guzman (Alberto) and Maria Teresa Robles (Mario).
18 grandchildren.
27 great-grandchildren.
Sisters, Barbarita Campusano.
Brother, Agustin (Diana) Vela.
Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 9 a.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
