ALICIA RAMIREZ Alicia Ramirez, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at a local retirement home. Mrs. Ramirez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is survived by her brother, Ricardo Ramirez. Also surviving her are nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
