Alonzo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and classic cars, with his most favorite being the 1957 Chevy Bel Air. There was nothing on two or four wheels that he couldn't fix. Alonzo spent most evenings and weekends working on motorcycles and cars with his brothers and friends.
Alonzo shared his knowledge and passion for auto mechanics and metal trades with countless students and peers as an educator at Laredo Junior College and United South Middle School.
We know his legacy will live on through them and others.
After retirement, he continued working on his automotive passion projects, while helping his friends with theirs. He also dedicated his life to his family. He was an amazing father and grandfather. There is nothing that he would not do for his family. His memory and laughter will be forever carried in their hearts and he will continue to guide their path from Heaven.
