AMADO ALVAREZ

Amado Alvarez, 65, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Alvarez was born in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lily Cortez.

Children, Amado Alvarez Jr. (Denise Alegria), Noberto Pedro Alvarez, Linda Cortez, Mary Weikel (Roy) Carrera, Lily Barbara Cortez (Gilberto Gutierrez) and Rudy (Sylvia) Cortez.

Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Brothers, Alejandro Alvarez, Pedro Alvarez, Saturnino Alvarez and Jesus Alvarez.

Sisters, Olga Alvarez, Maria Elena Alvarez, Aurora Alvarez, Juliana Alvarez, Carmen Robles and Mary Robles.

Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
