AMELIA R. HERNANDEZ Amelia R. Hernandez, 84, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Hernandez was born in Gonzales, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Margarito G. Hernandez. Son, Steven Hernandez. Daughter, Mary Gonzalez. Son-in-law, Donaciano Sotelo. Grandson, Roger Jacob Palacios. She is survived by her children, Dominga Flores, Ofelia Sotelo, Gloria (Rito) Palacios, David (Ana) Hernandez, Miguel "Mike" (Alicia) Hernandez, Joe (Thelma) Hernandez, Anita Hernandez and Sara (Ruben) Viera. 38 Grandchildren and 50 Great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012. Committal services will be held at a later date.
