Obituary

AMELIA G. MARES

Amelia G. Mares, 92, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Mrs. Mares was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emeterio Garza and Maria Garza.
Daughter, Graciela Mares.
Brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ernesto Mares.
Children, Luis E. (Concepcion) Mares.
Blanca A. (Domingo) Guillen, Gerardo G. (Sonia) Mares, Maria Isabel (Jose Luis) Rosas and Gabriela Mares.
16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Committal services and interment  followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Jose Luis Rosas, Miguel Gaytan, Rafael Herrera, Jose Blas, Daniel Rodriguez and Ernesto Morales.
