AMELIA RODRIGUEZ
Amelia Rodriguez, 62, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020, at a local hospital.
Miss Rodriguez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas and attended J.W. Nixon High School. She was employed as a Unit Clerk, for over 38 years, at Mercy Hospital, which later became Laredo Medical Center. She was well known by her colleagues . She will be dearly missed and remembered, as a Sister, Aunt, Niece, Godmother and Friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe Manuel Rodriguez and Manuela Rodriguez.
Nephew, Isaac Rodriguez.
She is survived by her siblings, Rosalinda (Victor) Moncivais, Laura (Agapito) Lopez, Felipe (Magdalena) Rodriguez Jr., Fidel (Maria Del Carmen) Rodriguez, Jose Maria (Gabriela) Rodriguez and Adriana Rodriguez.
Godfather, Jose Maria (Alberta+) Leal.
Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The Rodriguez Family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the Nurses, Deborah and Arianna, at Laredo Medical Center, ICU Department and Chaplain Rodriguez, for their compassion and special care, which they provided.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held, at 7 p.m., in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Information with regard to the funeral service departure time and Holy Mass hour may be obtained by calling the funeral home at (956) 723-2979.
