ANA MARIA R. GARZA Ana Maria R. Garza, 67, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garza was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo R. Garza, Sr. who passed away on September 2003. Daughter, Elizabeth Marie Alegria who passed away on October 2009. Parents, Manuel and Graciela Romero Grandparents, Nicolas and Maria Salazar She is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Jose Manuel) White and son, Guillermo (Rosie) Garza. Grandchildren, Arcadio Alegria, III., Charles J. (Jazmin) White, Crystal Joleen White, Jorge Ortiz, III., Guillermo Samuel Garza, Vanessa Garza and Sabrina Garza. Great-grandson, Anthony Jayden White. Brother, Jose Luis Romero and sister, Gloria Alicia Escobedo and Carlos Romo. Lifetime friend, Nora (Bobby) Sanchez Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. A special heartfelt gratitude to Tomas & Angie Vela, Gabino & Dolores Ozuna, Jaime & Estela Gonzalez and Albert & Claire Escobedo. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
