Andrea P. Gonzalez Mrs. Andrea P. Gonzalez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the age of 77 surrounded by her family and friends. She was a kind and loving woman who was affectionately known to all as "Luz." She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Gonzalez married Francisco Gonzalez and they were blessed with a beautiful family. She was known for her unconditional love and great spirituality. She was very devoted to her family, and enjoyed listening to music, cooking, and baking lemon meringue pies. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bonifacio and Rosaura Palacios, her brothers, Epimenio, Antonio, Manuel, Bonifacio and Pedro, and a very special nephew, Jose A. (Choche) Flores, Jr. Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her loving husband, Francisco Gonzalez, her children, Francisco (Soledad) Gonzalez, Jr., Andrea Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, San Juanita Gonzalez, Rita (Robert) Garcia, and Rosaura (Beto) Lara as well as by Concha Carrizales. She is also survived by her sisters, Margarita Garcia and Guadalupe Nolasco as well as her brother, Arcadio Palacios, and numerous extended family members and friends. Mrs. Gonzalez is further survived by 17 beautiful grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by 7 very special nephews and nieces, children of her sister-in-law, Adelaida G. Flores (+) and Jose Angel Flores, Sr. (+). They were raised together in a close-knit family, and were like her second family. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Joseph Camero, for his compassionate care and dedication, as well as Dr. Benson Huang, Dr. Shafiq Cheema, Dr. Chalit and Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa. Additionally, the family gives special thanks to her dedicated and kind caregivers, Maria Castilla and Rosa Guerra, the staff of Santa Rita Home Health and the staff of Hope Kidney Clinic Lakeview. The family would also like to offer a special gratitude to Bronze Star Ambulance Service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Agustin Cathedral. Committal services and interment will then follow the service in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
