ANDRES SALDIVAR JR.
Andres Saldivar Jr.,86, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Mr. Saldivar was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. Mr. Saldivar was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a Sgt E-5 (T) and was duly decorated with the Marksman (Rifle M-1) and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14). He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Leonor Saldivar.
His beloved wife, Maria Antonia Saldivar.
Brothers, Rodolfo Saldivar, Eduardo Saldivar, Jose Saldivar and Gilberto Saldivar.
He is survived by his sons, Gilberto Manuel (Maraya) Saldivar and Andres Antonio (Tessie) Saldivar.
8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Brother, Aurelio (Virginia) Saldivar.
Sister, Norma Flores.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment, with full military honors, provided by the Laredo Veteran's Honor Guard, followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Gilberto M. Saldivar, Gilberto Saldivar Jr., Christan Saldivar, Andy Saldivar, Jesse Gonzalez, Eduardo Saldivar, Gerardo Flores and Reymundo Flores Jr.
HONORARY PALLBEARER: Jose Lopez.
