ANTONIO ENRIQUE DE LEON JR.

Antonio Enrique De Leon Jr., passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. De Leon was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. His hobbies were Martial Arts, Football (#1 Green Bay Fan), Fishing, Swimming and Hunting. He was loved and spoiled by his mother, and everyone knew it! His childhood was full of wild adventures in both Kenosha, Wisconsin and Laredo, Texas with his siblings and cousins. At the age of 17, he met his wife, Melinda, while working together at a fast-food restaurant. He later had children and worked every day to provide all that he could. He spent his last years working and spending time with his siblings, children, grandchildren and nieces/nephews. His memory will forever live on through his family and friends; with all the memories and stories they share! Antonio will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him and as a Green Bay Packer Fan,“GO PACK GO!”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria de Jesus Barrera and Antonio Enrique (Maria Elena) De Leon and by his grandmother, Maria Barrera.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda De Leon.

Children, Amanda Marie (Keith Sanchez) De Leon, Samantha (Tiffany) Juarez, Antonio Enrique (Anna )De Leon III, Destiny Niño, Alejandro Enrique De Leon.

Grandchildren, Lute Garza Jr, Melanie Nadine Garza, Anastasia Elise Sanchez and Oliver Enrique De Leon.

Siblings, San Juanita (Jorge) Centeno, Josefina Ramirez, Lidia (Juan) Gonzalez, Alberto Antonio (Blanca) De Leon, Norma “Nelly” (Luis) Garza, Antonio Enrique De Leon Aguilar.

Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased, officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon, will be held at 6 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
