ANTONIO G. SERNA
Antonio G. Serna, 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Mr. Serna was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Serna was a veteran of the United States Army in which he served with the 47th Infantry 9th Infantry Division Company A during the Vietnam War. He was decorated with the National Defense Service Medal,the Vietnam Service Medal, Purple Heart, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 1960 and the Sharpshooter medal M-14 and M-16. He was given an Honorable Discharge in 1968.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Serna Sr. and Virginia Serna.
Daughter, Christina Marie Serna.
1st wife, Bertha M. Serna.
Also preceding him are his siblings, Guadalupe Dolores Serna, Maria Irma Serna, Esperanza Serna, Juan Arturo Serna, Luis Antonio Serna, Raul Serna and Yolanda Serna.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 10 years of marriage, San Juana Martinez Serna.
Sons, Gerardo Alberto (Veronica) Serna and Ricardo Antonio (Miranda) Serna.
(7) grandchildren, Jessica Serna, Ricky Rage Serna, Jesse Ray Serna, Priscilla Serna, Robert Serna, Ashley Serna, Albert Serna and 2 great grandchildren, Scarlet and Levy Perez .
Sisters, Virginia Serna Cruz, San Juana (Arturo) Arce Serna and Olga Serna.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
