ANTONIO "TONITO" MATA JR. Antonio Mata Jr.,or "Tonito" as he was affectionately known by his family and friends was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He entered into eternal rest Monday, January 7, 2013 at the young age of 30. He was a beloved husband, father, son, uncle and friend who always made everyone laugh and will be greatly missed and remembered dearly. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Juanita B. Mata and Ausencio Mata Sr. Maternal grandparents, Yolanda M. Martinez and Jose Manuel Martinez Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Esmeralda M. Mata. Children, Ricardo Antonio Mata and Kaleb Allen Mata. Parents, Antonio (Sandra) Mata Sr. Sisters, Sandra Yvette Mata (Mike Guerrero) and Vanessa Lizette Mata (Johann Villarreal). Nieces, Brandy Danielle Garcia and Sareena Mikenzie Guerrero. Uncles and aunts, Ausencio (Linda) Mata Jr., Fernando Mata, Alfredo Gonzalez, Victor (Rosie) Gonzalez, Jose Manuel (Bertha) Martinez Jr., Jorge Javier Martinez, Javier (Yolanda) Marquez, Jose Antulio (Adriana) Villalobos, Jose Gerardo Martinez and Eladio (Nelly) Martinez. Also surviving him are numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels. 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
