ANTONIO VALDEZ
Antonio Valdez, 75, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at a local hospital.
Mr. Valdez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and just taking in nature. He was also a devoted Spurs fan who never missed a game. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Valdez Soriano and Maria Guadalupe Cortez De Valdez.
Sister, Angelica Albina Valdez.
He is survived by his children, Lupita V. Lopez (Victor H.), Ana Laura Cadena (Luis E.) and Antonio
(Pasqualita)
Valdez III.
His wife, Rosario Valdez.
Grandchildren, Anissa (Raul) Beltran, Karina N. Lopez, Ana Paula Cadena, Victor H Lopez II, Dania Cadena, Luis Eduardo Jr. and Jacy a Valdez.
Great-grandchild, Aubrey Rae Beltran.
Brother, Rodolfo Valdez (Irma).
Niece, Irma Valdez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Valdez's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to all who assisted with Mr. Valdez's care, the Chapa, Reyes and Castillo families, Marisela and Jose Luis Martinez, Dr. Lon Smith, Nurse, Jennifer Armstrong and the ICU unit Staff at Laredo Medical Center for their compassion and special care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
