APOLINAR (Bear) NAVARRO SR. Apolinar (Bear) Navarro Sr., 77, passed away on Monday, August 25,2014 at a local hospital. Mr. Navarro was Born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Concepcion Navarro. Son, Albert L. Navarro. Parents, Fidel and Maria H. Navarro. sister, Diana Suess. Brothers, Pablo F. Navarro, Jose F. Navarro and Candelario Navarro. Mr. Navarro was a graduate from Martin High School and Laredo Community College. He was an extremely proud American and he served his country by joining the Federal National Guard and the United States Air Force, and he was a member of the American Legion post 669. He worked with the U.S. Customs and was a Public Notary. He is survived by his Children, Della N. Ortiz, Susan M. Navarro and Nelda A. (David) Guajardo. Sons, Apolinar (Christy) Navaro Jr. and Antonio F. (Sara) Navarro. Siblings, Maria Jovita Ramirez, Francisca Rodriguez, Dolores N. Garza and Librada m. Villanueva. He was also blessed to have numerous grand children and great grandchildren that he so dearly loved. He also had nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
