Obituary

ARISTEO AGUILAR Aristeo Aguilar, loving husband, father,grandfather, brother and uncle, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the age of 82. Mr. Aguilar was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He was a veteran of World War II in which he served with the United States Army from 1948 unjtil his discharge in 1952. He was decorated with the Army Occupation Medal for his participation in the conflict. He then came back to Laredo and married the love of his life Dora Escobar Aguilar on Feburary 5, 1952. As newlyweds, they moved to East Chicago, Indiana where he worked with the Inland Steel Company for over 30 years. When he retired, they both moved back to Laredo to enjoy his retirement. Mr. Aguilar was a very passionate man who fullfilled his dreams and achieved anything he set his mind to. He was a warm, gentle hearted man who instilled morals, courage and knowledge to his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who had come to enjoy him for the man he was. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Sixta V. Aguilar and by his seven brothes and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years of marriage Dora E. Aguilar. His daughters: Yolanda (Carlos) Martinez and Berlinda (Refugio) Martinez. His eight grandchildren: Lorenza, Marco Antonio, Carlos Jr., Alma, Camila, Veronica, Sasha and Miguel Angel. His 13 grandchildren. Brothes and sisters; Jose Aguilar, Trinidad Perez, Berta Herrera and Everardo Aguilar. Also surviving him are several nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. a Vigil of the Deceased will be recited at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing on Thursday morning , March 8, 2012 from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery Veteran's Section.
