ARMANDO LAUREL

On September 23, 2019 at the age of 81, Armando Laurel was called by his maker. He worked for Sears in Laredo, Texas for 35 years, he began as a shoe Salesman and retired as the Service Manager. Soon thereafter, he realized his life-long dream and became a businessman. As a local businessman, he truly enjoyed interacting with the public-helping people. He referred to his entrepreneurial endeavors as his hobby. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and simply socializing with friends and family. Armando was always encouraging his family to excel in everything they did, and provided excellent business advice. He devoted his life to his family and loved reminiscing and storytelling, especially about ancestors that settled in Los Ojuelos, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Margarita Laurel; brothers, Agustine (Gloria) Laurel and Adolfo Laurel.

Sister, Amalia (Jose Luis) Alarcon.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Delia Dora Laurel.

His Children, Arturo (Brenda Kay) Laurel, Arnoldo (Rebecca) Laurel and Andrew (Rachel) Laurel.

6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
