ARTEMIO SANTANA
Artemio Santana, 57, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at a local hospital.
Mr. Santana was born in Houston, Texas and had been a longlife resident of Laredo, Texas. He was the life of the party, always enjoying a good song and dance. He enjoyed life, having planted a marvelous garden and watching his plants grow and flowers bloom. He also served his time in the kitchen, he loved to cook and put out a mean dish. A avid fan of Loteria, he was fond of the game itself and having anything physical pertaining to the game, whether it be a T-shirt, game cards or game trinkets. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Francisco and Jacinta R. Santana.
Sisters, Julia J. Alvarado and Rosalinda Santana.
Brother, Jose Luis Santana.
He is survived by loving wife, of over 27 years of marriage, Ofelia G. Santana.
Daughter, Sandra Santana.
Grandchildren, Emily Jane Rodriguez and Armando Esteban Rodriguez, Jr.
Siblings, Juan Javier (Consuelo) Santana, Pablo (Maria) Santana, Pedro (Lidia) Santana, Leticia Espinoza, Natividad Santana, David (Lourdes) Santana, Jesus (Patsy) Santana, Dora (Braulio) Solis and Marisela (Miguel) Ramirez.
Also surviving him are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
