ARTURO ORTIZ Arturo Ortiz, 66, passed away on Friday,March 23, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Ortiz was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agustin and Guadalupe Ortiz. He is survived by his children, Santos Arturo (Maribel) Ortiz and Juan Antonio (San Juan) Ortiz. Grandchildren, Carlos Arturo (Kimberly) Ortiz, Santos Arturo Ortiz III, Annette Maribel Ortiz, Mario Baldemar Ortiz and Gabriel Ortiz. Great-Grandchildren, Amber Leann Ortiz and Santos Arturo Ortiz IV. Brothers and Sisters, Blanca Hilda Trujillo, Jose Alvarez and Carlos Ortiz. Niece, Blanca M. Martinez and Karla Ortiz. Nephew, Oscar Trujillo. Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral service will begin at on Tuesday, morning March 27, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at San Margarita De Escocia Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
