ARTURO BARBERENA SALINAS Arturo Barberena Salinas, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico. Mr. Barberena Salinas was born in Mexico and had a resident of Laredo, Texas for sometime. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Isidora Barberena. Son-in-Law, Juan Ramon Riojas. Former Wife, Celestina Vedia. Grandson, Diego Barberena. He is survived by his children, Alma Riojas, Arturo (Leticia) Barberena, Celeste (Daniel) Tijerina, Rocio (Rodolfo) Garcia, Rosario (Patrick) Winnert, Wenceslado (Maribel) Barberena and Juan Francisco (Valerie) Barberena. Former Wife, Elsie Esquivel. 15 grandchildren. 7 great-grandchildren. Sibilings, Guillermo (Doris) Barberena Jr., Beatriz (Norbeto) Romero and Juan Florencio (Hipolita) Barberena. Also nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
