Obituary

AURORA G. PADRICK

Aurora G. Padrick, 93, joined her Father in Heaven on Monday, March 18, 2024.

She was born on November 4, 1930, in Durango, Durango, Mexico. Aurora moved to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas with her children, Angela, and Antonio, then to Laredo, Texas after meeting and marrying her husband James Lee Padrick who was in the Navy. Aurora traveled abroad with her husband while he was stationed in Scotland and London, England, amongst many other places. She got to meet many people and make new friends.

Aurora loved to serve her family and enjoyed playing cards and board games. As a young girl, she liked to roller skate and dance. She continued her love of dance and singing throughout her lifetime. Aurora was a fun loving, witty, person who loved children and animals. Her most enjoyment came from spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Antonio Salazar Diaz and husband James Lee Padrick.

She is survived by her daughter Maria de los Angeles Gonzalez and her grandchildren: Aurora Patricia Albrecht, Antonio Salazar, Alma Rocio Salazar Monica Morales, Alejandra Davalos, Cristina Puente; and nine great-grandchildren Ellison Odom, Joshua Martinez, Aaron Martinez, Dustin Salazar, Tony Salazar, Alicia Burgess, Alejandra Sanchez, Cristina Morales, Daniella Morales, Audrey Davalos, Sergio Puente and Zoe Puente. She has two great-great-grandchildren, Arya Odom, and Miklo Sanchez.

Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 8 am to 11 am in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A chapel service will be held at the funeral home at 11 am. Committal services will be held on a later date.
