AVELINA ESPINOZA Avelina Espinoza, 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Laredo, Texas. Miss Avelina Espinoza ws born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. Avelina's very special and close friends were the Late John and Nancy Hurd with who she worked for over 30 years of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Avelina Espinoza. Brother and Sisters, Luis Espinoza, Olga Soto, Angelina Reyes, Eva Cardenas and Herminia Gonzalez. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Guadalupe Balzaldua, Antonia (Armando) Gonzalez, Dora (Juan) Ramirez, Hugo (Margie) Espinoza, Octaviano Espinoza and Hector (Angelita) Espinoza. Also nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation and a Vigil of the Deceased was held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services were at 8:30 a.m.on Friday, November 18, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass was celebrated at 9 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Committal services and interment then followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
