In Loving Memory of Faith Penelope Ortega

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious baby girl, Faith Penelope Ortega, who was born and passed into Heaven on Friday, February 20, 2026.

Though her time in our arms was brief, Faith's life was filled with immeasurable love. She brought hope, light, and a deeper meaning to her family from the very moment she was known. In her tiny presence, she taught us the true depth of faith, strength, and unconditional love.

Faith is lovingly survived by her loving mother, Aracelia Cruz; father, Felix P. Ortega; and her adoring big sister, Serenity Lynn, who will forever carry her little sister in her heart.  She is also cherished by her loving tía, by her grandparents, and by extended family and dear friends who already loved her so deeply.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Laredo Medical Center — especially Miriam, Brenda, Marisol, Carolina, and Doctor Benavides III — for their kindness, care, and support during this difficult time. Special thanks are extended to Mr. Carlos Rene Ramirez, Constable Mike Villarreal, and Mrs. Maria Isabel Estevane for their support and compassion. The family also wishes to express deep gratitude to Kendra and Zara, who stood faithfully by Aracelia's side and will lovingly carry Faith's casket in her honor, and to Zuli for her unwavering presence, love, and strength during this time. With a mother's eternal love, her mami whispers,

"Te amo tanto, mi chiquita hermosa.

Though we did not get to watch her grow, Faith Penelope Ortega will forever be a part of our family's story. She will always be remembered as our beautiful angel, wrapped in love for eternity.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 8 AM to 11 AM and a Prayer Service will be officiated by Rene Ramirez at 11 AM in the Hernandez Lopez And Sons funeral Chapel located at 800 Boston St. in San Bernardino Ave. Committal services and internment will then follow in the Calvary. Catholic Cemetery .
