BALBINA A. MATA

Balbina A. Mata, 71, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021.

Mrs Mata was born in Panuco, Veracruz, Mexico and was a long life resident od Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Arteaga.

Sister, Francisca Arteaga Torres.

Brother, Ignacio Arteaga.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 52 years of marriage, Alberto Mata Neri.

Children, Patricia Palau, Maria del Carmen Mata, Alberto (Myrna) Mata, Adrian Mata, and Martha Beatriz (Juan Antonio) Elizondo and Angel Mata.

13 grandchildren, Karen Johnson, Daniel Palau, Aaron Palau, Amy Serna, Abby Serna, Lizbeth Mata, Anneth Mata, Juan A. Elizondo III, Alberto Elizondo, Gerardo Elizondo and Angel Mata Jr.

2 great great grandchildren, Leo Johnson and Christian Elizondo.

Mother, Facunda Arteaga.

Also surviving her are numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Following the ordinance by the State of Texas, visitation will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.

It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service, officiated by Pastor Jessica Almanza, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A Religious service, also officiated by Pastor Almanza, will be officiated at 9 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2021, in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
