Beatriz R. Bernal, 96, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Bernal was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luciano and Beatriz Rangel.
Spouse, Porfirio Bernal Jr.
Brothers, Arturo Rangel and Walter Baisley.
Sister, Elena Pena.

She is survived by her children, Patricia B. (Josue+) Flores, Bertha (Hilario) Dimas, Alicia (Rodolfo) Tijerina, Porfirio G. (Leticia C) Bernal, Arturo (Nora Paulina) Bernal and Eduardo (Lucy) Bernal.
18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date. For departure and mass hour contact the funeral home.
