Beatriz Martinez's Obituary
BEATRIZ MARTINEZ
Beatriz Martinez, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a great friend, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020.
Mrs. Martinez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. She was employed at La Garantia International Stores for over 25 years as a Sales Manager a job in which she enjoyed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, of 60 years of marriage, Margarito Martinez, who passed away on October 15, 2018.
Parents, Arturo Sandoval and Feliz Cantu Sandoval.
Sister, Dolores Sanchez.
Brothers, Arturo Sandoval II and Jose R. Sandoval.
She is survived by her children, Jose Luis (Cynthia M.) Martinez and Melissa Martinez.
Grandchildren, Beatriz Adriana Martinez, Jose Manuel Martinez and Michael A. Martinez.
Great grandchildren, Joseph Martinez, Jissele Martinez, Jacob Martinez and Jose Luis Martinez.
Great granddaughter on the way, Emma Renee Martinez.
Sister, Lilia Barrera.
Brother, Oscar Sandoval.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Family request, if possible, any one attending visitation or funeral to wear spring colors.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased, officiated by Rev. Deacon Allan Sanchez, will be held at 10 a.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
