BENITO MARTINEZ Benito Martinez, 71, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his loving wife Elida DeAnda. Parents, Ambrosio and Evangelina Martinez. Grandson, Bernardo Salinas. He is survived by his children, Javier (Sara) DeAnda, Leonardo (Sonia) DeAnda, Isabel DeAnda, Blanca DeAnda, Ambrosio (Araceli) Martinez, Benito (Sandra) Martinez Jr., Oscar (Susana) Martinez, Daniel (Mariana) Martinez, Olga Alicia (Miguel) Martinez and Alberto (Maria) Martinez. Grandchildren, Miguel Angel Salinas, Roxanna Aguilar and Lizette Edwards. And other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving him are numerous brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
