BENITO SOTO Benito Soto, 83, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Austin, Texas. Mr. Soto was born in Dallas, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for some time. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Guadalupe Soto. Sister, Estela Soto. Brother, Jose Soto. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Guadalupe Soto. Children, Benito A. (Idalia) Soto, Maria Esther (Francisco) Fuentes, Sylvia (Francisco) Saenz and Lloyd A. (Maria Josefina) Soto. Grandchildren, Vanessa Soto, Venita Soto, Joshua Saenz, Jacob Saenz, Gabriella Fuentes, Amanda Fuentes, Lloyd A. Soto, Jr. and Christina L. Soto. 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
