BENJAMIN LAZARO HERRERA
Benjamin Lazaro Herrera, 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at a local hospital.
Mr. Herrera was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lazaro and Manuela Herrera.
First wife, Alicia Herrera.
Son, Benjamin Lazaro Herrera Jr.
Parents-in-Law, Julian and Guadalupe Hernandez.
Brother, Rodolfo Herrera.
He is survived by his loving wife, Esmeralda Perez.
Children, Juan Antonio (Maria) Herrera and Jessica Herrera (Jose Gerardo Peña).
7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Sisters, Maria Hortencia (Rogelio) Ayala and Sylvia De La Cruz.
Brother, Martin (Laura) Herrera.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Juan Herrera (Son), Adrian Ramirez (Friend), Gerardo Pena (Son-in-law), DJ Garcia (Grandson), Alex Bondoc (Nephew), Freddy Bondoc (Nephew), Rodger Herrera (Nephew) and Rogelio Ayala (God Son).
