BENJAMIN V. RUIZ Benjamin V. Ruiz, 72, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at a local hospital. Mr. Ruiz was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Guadalupe Ruiz. Brother, Rogelio Victorino Ruiz. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Angela Ruiz. Children, Leticia Ruiz, Yvonne (Sergio) Gaytan, Benjamin (Monica) Ruiz Jr. and Araceli Ruiz (Alejandro Cuevas). 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Maria Luisa (Jose) Molina and Guadalupe San Juanita Mendez. Brothers, Roberto (Rosa) Ruiz and Jesus Javier (Gloria) Ruiz. Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will be held at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
