BERTA RUIZ

Berta Ruiz, 69,  a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and great friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was a strong willed woman who instilled lifelong moral values to her children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was knitting, she always enjoyed knitting something up for her family. She also enjoyed cooking family meals and spending time in her kitchen which will be missed. But most of all she delighted in having time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was greatly adored by all.

She is preceded in death by her grandson; Dylan Ruiz, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Librado Buruato and Jula A. Buruato, her brothers and sisters, Librado Buruato III, Baltazar Buruato, Emma Hernandez and Benita Estrada.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years of marriage, Roberto Ruiz.

Her children; Rodolfo (Elizabeth Flores) Ruiz, Daniel (Nelida) Ruiz and Jaime Ruiz.

Grandchildren; Alexsandra Ruiz, Alondra Ruiz, Daniel Ruiz Jr., Emmanuel Lopez, Ayden Ruiz, Sebastian Ruiz, Rodolfo Ruiz Jr. and Marcos Ruiz.

Her Brothers and sisters, Rosalinda Ochoa, Andres (Dora Bondoc) Buruato, Josefina (Sabas) Vedia, Velda (Guadalupe "Lupe") Vedia, Antonia (Leandro +) Patino and Teresa Buruato.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave . A Religious service was officiated in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment followed immediately in the Laredo City Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Rodolfo Ruiz, Daniel Ruiz, Jaime Ruiz, Rene Flores, Raul Gasca, Daniel Ruiz Jr., Raul Gasca Jr. and Emmanuel Lopez.
