BERTA G. GARCIA
Berta G. Garcia, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Garcia was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus C. Garcia.
Brother, Adolfo Guajardo.
Sister-in-Law, Rosalba Guajardo.
She is survived by her daughters, Leticia Garcia-Cruz and Mary (Sergio) Moreno.
Grandchildren, Eddie (Alma) Cruz, Taina Cruz, Charlie Cruz, Albert Ramirez Jr., Chayo Moreno and Anita Moreno.
Great-grandchildren, Keara Cruz, Delilah Cruz, J.J. Vasquez, Jesse Carrillo, Daniela Nuñez, Natalie Nuñez and Candace Cruz.
Sister, Irene Guajardo.
Sister-in-Law, Olivia Guajardo.
Nephews, Adolfo Guajardo III and Marco Adolfo Guajardo.
Niece, Mary Elva (Martin) Cruz.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Garcia's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Mrs. Garcia's caregivers, for their special care and attention, they are Rosa Valverde and Rufina Perez-Herrera. They also would like to express their gratitude to doctors, Jorge Gomez Vasquez, Eduardo Gomez Vasquez, Benson Huang and Pedro Diaz, the 4th, 3rd, Med One and Respiratory Staffs at Doctor's Hospital, as well as the San Agustin Home Health Staff.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
