BERTHA M. SERNA Bertha M. Serna, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Serna was born in Zapata, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Julia Salinas Martinez. Daughter, Christina Marie Patino. Brother, Armando Martinez. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years of marriage Antonio Serna. Son, Ricardo (Miranda) Serna, Gerardo (Veronica) Serna. Son-in-law, Adalberto J. Patino. Sister, Francisca (Agustin) Molina. Sister-in-law, Angelina Martinez. Grandchildren, Jessica Serna, Ricky Rage Serna, Jesse Ray Serna, Pricilla Serna, Robert Serna, Ashley Serna, Alberto Serna. Sisters-in-laws, Virginia (Rolando) Cruz, Esperanza Serna Devilbiss and Irma Serna Perez. Niece, Adriana Arce. Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
