BLAS CADENA

Blas Cadena, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021.

Mr. Cadena was born in Paras, N.L. Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Blas and Maria Vicenta Cadena.

His beloved wife, Bertha A. Cadena.

Brothers, Marcial Cadena and Ramiro Cadena.

He is survived by his children, Bertha (Jose) Salas, San Juanita Cadena, Raul (Erika) Cadena and Blas Ramon (Dora) Cadena Jr.

8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Sister, Maria Gloria Cortez.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Following the ordinance by the State of Texas, visitation will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.

It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a Liturgy of the Word will be officiated at 9 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Southside Chapels, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
