BRIGIDA MATA Brigida Mata, 81, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at a local hospital. Miss Mata was born in Laredo, Texas and had remained a resident of Laredo all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents Encarnacion and Brigida Mata. She is survived by her daughter; Maria Inez (Daniel) Nieto. Son: Juan Ramon Perez. Seven (7) grandchildren and Ten (10) Great-grandchildren. Sister: Justa Lopez Brother: Enrique (Aurora) Mata. Also surviving her are numerous other family members and many friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Pedro and Janie Mata and her caregiver Anita Rocha for all their care and assistance. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin Monday morning November 14, 2011 at 10:05 a.m. departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
