BRUNA ESTEVIS MARTINEZ OCTOBER 6, 1920 - SEPTEMBER 4, 2011 Bruna Estevis Martinez, 90, went peacefully to see the Lord on Sunday Sept.4 2011 at a local hospital. She was born on Oct.6, 1920 in Dolores, Texas. Mrs. Bruna E.Martinez was a former employee for numerous yrs.at Laredo Independent School District as a custodian at Alma Pierce Elementary School. She also worked as a cook at the NCO Club at the former Laredo Air Force Base; in the 1960's she owned and operated a restaurant named "LAS TEJANITAS" for several yrs. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother, she will be greatly missed. Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her Mother; Juana Estevis, Father; Pascual Estevis, Husband; Marcelino G. Martinez, Son; Socorro Martinez, Sisters; Santos E. Alva, Julia E. Alvarado, Brothers; Matias (Maria+) Estevis, Angel (+Rebecca) Estevis, Teofilo Estevis Grandchildren; Jose "Pepe" Martinez, Marcelino Martinez, Marco Antonio Martinez Bruna is survived by her loving Sons; Jorge (Maggie) Martinez from Laredo, Jose E. (Irene) Martinez (Lansing, Mich.), Jesus (Jan) Martinez (Lansing Mich.), Alberto (Victoria) Martinez (Lansing, Mich.), her loving Daughter; San Juana IsmaeI Guajardo (Lansing,Mich), Grandchildren ; Jorge (Sonia) Martinez Jr., Noemi (+Jose) Mata, Cynthia (Manuel) Garcia, Abel (Elsie) Martinez, Maribel (Armando) Bustamante, Xavier (Vanessa) Gutierrez and Armando Bustamante, Jr. all from Laredo, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren from Laredo and Lansing, Mich. Sisters; Agripina E. ( Rodolfo) Medina (Lake Zurich IL), Cruz E.(Pedro) Lara (San Antonio) Brothers; Prudencio "Lencho" (+Maria) Estevis, Aurelio (Emilia) Estevis; Sister-in-law; Maria (+Teofilo) Estevis and niece Beatriz Perez; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
