CARLOS GARCIA
Carlos Garcia, 78, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mr. Garcia was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Felipa Escalera de Garcia.
Parents, Carlos and Ma. del Refugio Garcia.
Siblings, Maria Luisa Garcia, Jesus Garcia and Jose Israel Garcia.
He is survived by his children, Carlos Garcia Jr., Graciela ( Gerardo) Reyes, Dora Maria (Juan Antonio) Lopez, Patricia Marissa Garcia, Yolanda Elizabeth Vargas, Griselda San Juanita Garcia, Bertha Oralia Garcia, Brenda Jeanete (Reynaldo) Sepulveda, Perla Janira Garcia and Juan (Paula) Escalera.
34 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
Brother, Margarito (Modesta) Garcia.
Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Santo Niño Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
