CARLOS SAENZ

Carlos Saenz, 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Freer, Texas.

Mr. Saenz was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a long life resident of Freer.

He provided services, as the owner of Saenz Barber Shop, in Freer, Texas, for over 50 years. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran and was an avid animal lover.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his son, Francisco "Pancho" Saenz, who passed in 1984.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 60 years of marriage, Ana Maria "Ponce" Saenz.

Daughter, Guillermina (Fausto) Saenz Rosas Jr., of Laredo.

Sons, Pedro A. (Cynthia) Saenz, of San Antonio and Carlos (Sandra) Saenz Jr, of San Diego, Texas.

Sisters, Josefina Gonzalez, of San Antonio.

Brother, Jose Luis Saenz, of Jourdanton, Texas.

12 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 4 p.m. 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
