CARLOS VALDEZ
10/26/1966 – 9/29/2020
Carlos Valdez, 53, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at a local hospital.
Mr. Valdez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a life long resident. He was veteran of the United States Marine Corps., who served as a Aircraft Recovery Specialist and was duly awarded with the Marksman Rifle Markmanship Badge, Letter of Appreciation, Meritorious Mast - 2d Award, Navy Unit Commendation and the Good Conduct Medal. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald A. Wolter.
Grandparents, Cecilio Oviedo and Concepcion Oviedo.
He is survived by his mother, Delia O. Wolter.
Children, Carlos Valdez Jr., Brandon Scott Valdez, Minerva D. Valdez (Jose Ledesma).
Grandsons, Jayden Ledesma and Jose Ledesma.
Mother of his children, Susana Medina.
Also surviving him are numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends, who loved him so much.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased, officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon, will be held at 7 p.m., in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
A Liturgy of the Word, officiated by Rev. Deacon Aguillon, will be held in the funeral home chapel, at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
